StartupCincy Week 2026 marks a decade of backing founders who refused to play it safe, building companies that didn't ask permission, and proving Cincinnati is where bold bets belong.
StartupCincy Week 2026 is four days of bold ideas, meaningful connections, and the people building what’s next. Explore the sessions, find the conversations that matter to you, and start mapping out your week.
Precursor: Techstars FounderCon 2016 brought "More than 1,000 of the nation's top business builders" to Cincinnati, Oct. 18–20, 2016 — "the first time in six years that Techstars is hosting their annual innovation event in a location outside of their traditional network of startup hubs". (Not a StartupCincy Week.) (prnewswire.com (opens in a new tab))
First edition, "Techstars Startup Week Cincinnati, held Oct. 9-13 in Union Hall and other Downtown and Over-the-Rhine locations." Results reported by WCPO: 118 events (goal 60); attendance 4,500 (goal 3,000, counting people attending more than one event); $59,000 in sponsorship (goal $30,000); 1,441 unique names collected; 34% minority and 33% female participation; more than 4 million social impressions; guests from 50 cities, 17 states and five foreign countries. An attendee noted the week was free. (wcpo.com (opens in a new tab))
Origin story (2026 retelling): "What began as a grassroots movement and a Twitter hashtag" (#StartupCincy). Abby Grimm: "I think the first year of StartupCincy Week was maybe around 100 people, and this year we’re expecting 1500 people to come." (Conflicts with WCPO's 2017 attendance count of 4,500.) (soapboxmedia.com (opens in a new tab))

Key partners: Alloy Development Co., Blue North, CincyTech, Cintrifuse, ECDI, Endeavor, Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub, Product Refinery, REDI Cincinnati, and Reversed Out Creative. (startupcincy.com (opens in a new tab))

Eighth annual StartupCincy Week, October 7–10, 2024, in Over-the-Rhine, "presented by Cintrifuse" and "sponsored by Fidelity Private Shares, P&G, and many other ecosystem partners". Organizers expected "more than 70 venture capital investors" and programming "shaped by more than 20 ecosystem partners". (moversmakers.org (opens in a new tab))

First-ever StartupCincy Awards, April 30, 2026, 5:30–7:30 pm at Union Hall: "This event kicks off StartupCincy’s 10th anniversary, honoring a decade of work and the people behind it." (luma.com (opens in a new tab))

Honestly, everyone! From super seasoned founders and investors to folks just looking to get a little of that startup magic and inspo - there truly is something here for everyone. Our flexible programming allows you to write your own StartupCincy story and pick the path that makes the most sense for you!
We recommend two convenient parking options near Union Hall: Mercer Commons Garage, located at 1310 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202, or Washington Park Garage, located at 1230 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
Both garages are within a short walking distance to Union Hall and offer convenient access for attendees. Please note: we do not offer parking validation.
At this time, StartupCincy Week is a fully live and in-person event. We’ve found that the real-time energy field and human connections of this week simply can’t be replicated over a screen. Feeling is believing!
That said, we will be doing our best to provide attendees with as much supplemental content post-week as we can!
The full agenda will be released around August. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter so you’re the first to know when it drops, along with speaker announcements, session highlights, and more!
We’ve got you covered (and caffeinated)! Each day of StartupCincy Week, we’ll provide light bites and coffee for breakfast to help you start strong. We’re also hosting one community lunch during the week to bring everyone together over great food and conversation.
For other meals, we encourage you to explore the amazing restaurants in the Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood—home to some of Cincinnati’s best spots. We’ll even have exclusive discounts at a few of our favorite local restaurants for attendees to enjoy.
Volunteering is a great way to engage with the community. You can find information about volunteer opportunities here.
