Most people assume that if you want to build a company around breakthrough medical science, you need to be the scientist. Cincinnati Children’s is proving otherwise. Our tech transfer and innovation team is actively building newcos and we are recruiting experienced operators to run them. In this session, our VP of Innovation Ventures and a panel of Cincinnati Children’s Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) will pull back the curtain on how this model actually works: how assets get identified and de-risked, what a newco looks like before a CEO is even in the room, what we look for in the executives we recruit, and how the relationship between CEO and inventor is structured for the long haul. There will be time for Q&A.
