Katie Stratman

Student Venture Analyst, Norse Ventures

I'm a senior at Northern Kentucky University studying Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources and I've spent the last year doing something that didn't exist before I showed up. As the first Student Venture Analyst at Norse Ventures, NKU's student-run venture fund, I was handed a blank slate and told to build. So I did. I developed the fund's investment process from the ground up, building a custom deal flow platform using Claude Code, creating the scorecard we used to evaluate our first investment, and leading recruiting efforts to grow awareness of the fund across campus. Being first means there's no playbook. You figure it out, you ask the right questions, and you build something you're proud of. Beyond Norse Ventures, I recently accepted a position with Flamel.ai as an intern, and I'm constantly showing up to events across the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati startup ecosystem. This region has real momentum, and I want to be part of it. I'm passionate about connecting with founders, capital, and community in a way that moves this ecosystem forward. If you're building something, investing in something, or just love the NKY/Cincy startup scene, let's connect.
