The AgriSURE Fund supports agri-startups and rural enterprises with funding and resources so they can develop innovative farming and rural solutions, improving livelihoods and strengthening the agricultural sector.
Objectives
With a focus on technology-driven, high-risk, high-impact ventures, AgriSURE is designed to fuel growth and foster innovation in the agricultural and rural startup ecosystem. A blended capital fund of ₹750 crore with SEBI Registered Category II, Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), contributions from the Government of India is ₹250 crore, NABARD is ₹250 crore, and ₹250 crore is being mobilized from banks, insurance companies, and private investors. Aims to support innovative, technology-driven, high-impact startups in agriculture and allied sectors, improve the farm produce value chain, including support for FPOs/FPCs, farm mechanisation, IT-based solutions and rural enterprises, attract more investment into the agri and rural startup ecosystem through AIFs and direct investments, and create employment opportunities and encourage youth entrepreneurship in agriculture.
Who can apply?
- Startups working in agriculture and rural development sectors.
- SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), sector-specific, sector-agnostic and debt AIFs that invest in agri/rural startups
What do you get?
- Investment through two routes: Fund of Funds Scheme with ₹450 crore corpus and Direct Scheme with ₹300 crore corpus.
- Supports around 85 startups, with ticket size up to ₹25 crore, subject to investment merit and fund guidelines.
- Provides grant-in-aid, incubation and mentoring support to eligible agri startups.
