Objectives
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing a Venture Capital Fund for Scheduled Castes with a corpus of ₹750 crore, intended for financial assistance to Scheduled Caste (VCF-SC) Entrepreneurs. It is aimed at providing concessional finance to SC entrepreneurs, who will create wealth and value for society and at the same time will promote profitable businesses. This fund is managed by IFCI Venture Capital Ltd.
Who can apply?
- The projects/units being set up in manufacturing, services and allied sector, including startups and units being incubated in the technology business incubators, ensuring asset creation out of the funds deployed in the unit shall be considered.
- For Companies applying for assistance up to ₹50 lakh: Companies having at least 51% shareholding by Scheduled Castes entrepreneurs for the past 6 months with management control.
- For Companies applying for assistance above ₹50 lakh: Companies having at least 51% shareholding by Scheduled Castes (SC) entrepreneurs for the past 12 months for the past 12 months with management control.
What do you get?
- Loans from ₹10 lakh to ₹15 crore to SC entrepreneurs, at a 4% coupon rate.
- For financial assistance up to ₹5 crore, up to 75% of the project cost are funded.
- For financial assistance above ₹5 crore, up to 50% of the project cost are funded.
